ACT accounts for for debts accrued in the Customer's
record. Debts are assigned to a customer by several means,
but they have a common basis. Fundamentally, a debt starts
when a customer has an invoice containing a number of items or
services and a corresponding rate. The number of items, or the
value of a taxable item gets multiplied by the rate to produce the
debt. The above shows examples of services and rates. Note
also that each item or service has a code, generally 1 letter but as
many as 10 can be used.
To construct accounts for an enterprise, and on an ongoing basis as new
services and items arrive, the use Utilities Menu to Edit or Add
services. Edit current services with the Edit Service option, and
Add them with the Add Service option.
